Book Review: Fairest

Post by Iverian Gnash »

Title: Fairest
Author: Marissa Meyer
Series: The Lunar Chronicles
Genre: Fairy Tale, Science Fiction
Summary of Story:
Fairest is the prequel to The Lunar Chronicles, told from the evil queen's point of view. It's all about her childhood and her life as she grew up. Personally, I thought the book was better than everyone made it out to be, but it definitely wasn't as amazing as the others were. However, it was an interesting story and brought in a lot of what happened in the main books and clarified them. The ending was rather abrupt and, as I was listening to the audiobook version, I was not expecting it to end when it did. I wish it had gone on to explain a bit more, but, overall, it was a pretty good prequel for fans of The Lunar Chronicles. :D
