Literary Wheel of Fortune (Description/Questions)

Based on the ever-popular Wheel of Fortune, participants will spin the wheel to determine which literary genre they will be reading. There is no limit on how many books you read, but the more you do, the more you win. Points (Not house points, alas), beans, and a shiny new trophy are up for grabs!

Timeline: April 10-June12

How it works:
1. If you wish to participate, please leave your name in the sign-up thread. I will do your initial spin via my random wheel picker and then post a screenshot of your spin Wheel Rolls. There is no cutoff to sign up, read as little or as much as you like.

2. Once you've read the book, you must post a review in the Bookshelf, Highlighting an author (in Presenting the Author) or a post about the book itself is fine. Keep in mind that the Book Shelf does have a word requirement (minimum 80 words (not including info about title/author). Also please send me a forum message with the link to your post so that totals and scores can be awarded correctly. Please also let me know if you wish to have another roll. After you post, I will award points accordingly (in a separate activity thread).

3. If you land on a genre you absolutely hate, you may choose to use a free spin and I will roll again. Please be advised, there are 3 free spins available for the entirety of the activity, so please use them wisely.

4. If someone has already started a topic about your book, author, or subject, please contribute to that rather than starting a brand new one of your own. (Note: If you post a new topic about a book or author which already has a topic established, we will move your post over for you.) Also, make sure the review or discussion is yours and based on your own thoughts while reading; lifting a review from Goodreads or elsewhere on the internet, representing it as yours, is categorically not allowed.

5. If you have any questions, please post them below and I will answer them as soon as possible. Or you can poke me with a Forum pm.

**Note** Please remember that we have members of all ages on HOL and try to choose your books carefully. The later Harry Potter books are a good guide to the level of threat, adult content, and bad language that we consider appropriate. If you think your book contains material that might be upsetting to members or inappropriate for a younger audience, please include a warning so that people can make an informed choice.
