You peek in the door of the library, both fascinated by the vast area of books and repelled by the rather dour-looking man who looks from his book and gives you an impatient scowl:
"Well, don't just stand there looking like a simpleton! Come in and shut the door before you let all of the heat out! Money does not grow on trees, you know. "
He waves a hand at the shelves of books:
"Think yourself clever, do you?! Fancy yourself a bookworm? Well, then, prove it! Take my challenge..if you dare."
He pauses, the slightest of smiles forming on his face...
"The rules are pretty simple:
1. To complete the full challenge, you must read a book from all three categories, namely, past, present, and future.
The book must either be set in the past (before 1950), the present (1990s to present), or the future (anytime after 2085). It should be a book you read during the challenge, but if it is one you read before, that is okay, too.
2. Upon completion, you must post about it, either a book review, author review, or anything you fancy. Posts go in either the Bookshelf or Between the Pages (please see posting guidelines below). Please send me, Emily Spencer, a Forum PM to let me know you posted so that I can give you credit.
3. You don't have to read a book from each category, of course, but you get more beans the more you do.
