There have been many different kinds of puzzles posted at HOL and in the common rooms for various activities throughout the years, now I am wondering what is your favourite kind of puzzle to do? Do you prefer word puzzles such as crosswords or double puzzles, logic puzzles such as nurikabe or sudoku, jigsaws, or some other kind of puzzle?
I usually prefer logic puzzles such as logic grid puzzles and sudoku puzzles.

There are so many choices! Logic Puzzles, Word puzzles, Mazes, Crosswords, Matching, Nanograms. I think mostly logic and word puzzles are my favourites. The only thing I avoid really is a mathematical puzzle. But that's cause my math's suck...

My personal favorites would have to be mazes, logic grid puzzles, and word puzzles, particularly cryptograms, fallen letters, and double puzzles. I also enjoy sudoku - but only when it's easy, haha.

I love boggle because it's a classic, and I enjoy how challenging it is, even after all these years. I also am fond of its variations and spin-offs like wordle. With each move you can just feel a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment as yo try to find the perfect set of letters. No matter how long I play for, I can't seem to get enough of these type of games. And I have yet to meet a word puzzle that I didn't enjoy!

My favourite kind of puzzles are Hashi, Masyu, Fallen Letters and Cryptogram. Other than these, I also quite enjoy playing Chess, and those who have learnt chess know that Chess Puzzles are a very important part of learning and getting better at Chess. So I suppose that counts as well.

I don't really treat jigsaws as puzzles (though it's in the name

), I treat them more as games. Otherwise, they'd be my favourite type of puzzle.
Otherwise, I really enjoy what I call the 'line or place' puzzles, where you need to draw a line (maze, hashi, hedges) or where you need to place pieces (tents and trees, battleship).
I'm not really a fan of any kind of math puzzles or 2048s. I just don't get them that well.

I really like sudoku. I am really bad with numbers but with Sudokus it's easy for me and actually helps calming me down and relaxing.

I can't believe I am responding to this question with yet another different answer. The thing is that my preferences keep changing. I get bored of puzzles when they are either very easy or very difficult, and when I discover a new type of puzzle and learn to solve it, it becomes my new favorite. My favorite puzzle also depends on my current mood, which is subject to lability. Nonograms are my current favorite. I think that currently I like logic puzzles and Trees and Tents puzzles also. Besides, I recently learnt about a new type of puzzle called Nurikabe puzzle in the Gryffindor den from Professor Amy Lupin. It is my latest addition to my favorites. Of course, I researched its history and the meaning behind its name in Japanese, from Wikipedia, and solved a few online Nurikabe puzzles for fun. And oh! I completely forgot. Someone from the Roost reintroduced me to Rebus puzzIes only a day or two ago, and they are in my opinion, the most Sherlock-y thing ever. These are the current puzzles that are amusing me (don't know how long this list of favorites will last).

I am a sucker for puzzles! My favourite is a good logic puzzle (thanks Prof. Scarlet Leslie-Lewis for introducing those to me back in the day!). I've also been really getting into nonograms lately. Sudoku, Hashi, tents and trees, cryptograms, and fallen letters puzzles are also super great. For whatever reason, I'm not a big fan of mazes. But, I do love a good jigsaw puzzle!

Recently, I've become a great fan of Sudoku. I find that it acts as a fuel for my brain to work better

Another puzzle which I absolutely love is cryptograms. The fact that it takes time to solve them gives me a chance to focus on one thing for a while and not multi-task all the time. But as long as the puzzle is interesting, I'm open to anything and everything!

My favorite kinds of puzzles are mazes and labyrinths. I really like to find my way through obstacles. Getting lost is fun. These puzzles are relaxing. I also like crosswords, fallen letters, cryptograms, letter tiles, jigsaws, and all missing pieces and word puzzles. I hate sudokus and I hate all math puzzles. I am totally bad at calculations.

My favourite ones are word puzzles, fallen letters and cryptograms in all of their versions. They have been incredibly fun so far, especially in the Muggle Studies: Video Games course, where there are plenty in assignments.

I love all kinds of puzzles, but I really like sudoku or just normal text logic puzzles. I also like jigsaws when I need to empty my head or placing puzzles, where you need to put shapes in a certain order to fit them in a predetermined place.
