There are certain treats and flavours that are only available during the holiday season! Coffee shops and bakeries usually come out with their peppermint or gingerbread flavours, and the grocery stores are fully stocked with egg nog and Christmas cookies. This is also a time for hearty meals and savory winter soups! This time of year is definitely a time to be enjoying glorious foods!
What are some of your favourite treats you like to enjoy during the holidays that you don't usually enjoy during the rest of the year?

During this time of the year I enjoy peppermint hot chocolate and the various snacks made with peppermint. Lately I have been enjoying ice cream sandwiches with candy cane ice cream.

Fruit cakes are big in my area, especially made with brandy and with has icing on top. I don't think I know anyone that eats it out of season. Since it's summer here, I love to enjoy a mixture between peppermint caramel ice cream. We, in my family tradition also only buy specific meaty and food platters with loads of yummies once a year since it is expensive. So we only ever do it in the week between Christmas and new year. Malva pudding (a type caramel sticky pudding) is also a holiday yummy. We also only ever bake a special type family recipe mud cake cookies, gingerbread cookies and coffee cookies during the December holidays and never any other time in the year. Love these treats.

During the holiday season, I enjoy hot chocolate very much. It makes me feel refreshed and warm, boosts my mood, and keeps me happy.

Call me old fashioned, but I really like eating After Eight chocolate over Christmas. I also really like eating cheesecake over the holiday season. This is plainly because Marks n Spencer's has honestly the best cakes ever. They are rather expensive, however, they are definitely worth it.

Aha! Gingerbread cookies and eggnog. Thank you for bringing out the holiday feels for me. I am not very fond of eggnog (mostly because I haven't tasted it yet), but I absolutely love gingerbread in any form, be it a gingerbread house or simply a gingerbread cookie. And, oh!, of course, you can never go wrong with cake with me.
