New Chat Server

With Mibbit shutting down, HOL is switching to HybridIRC as our new server and primary client!

If at any time you’re unable to access our Chatrooms through the main site, you may enter directly through their Webchat option.

You must add some version of your member name as the nick, and #hol (or your preferred destination) in the channel box.

If you prefer using any other IRC client, it is very important for you to update the following information when connecting, or you will not find yourself in the correct chat.

Server: irc.hybridirc.com
Port: 6667

Please brush up on the Chat Rules. Particularly if you’re relatively new to these programs and channels, or returning after a hiatus. You may also wish to visit Hybrid’s Help Center for additional info.

Note: Your account will expire in 1 day if not confirmed. Last year on Mibbit we were experiencing issues with validation emails not being received by certain providers (i.e. gmail), while some reported receiving confirmations to their spam folder. If you find your email isn’t receiving a confirmation code message, use the following command to force that nick to drop, then try an address from a different provider without having to wait.

/msg NickServ DROP <nickname> <password>
