Scrolling through Wizarding World, I came across an article that was talking about comparing yourself to some of the Harry Potter characters. There are so many characters we come across that we might identify with more than one, but it got me thinking of which characters I identify with!

I'd have to say the unruly and unpredictable nature of Bellatrix Lestrange is relatable but just as much as the studiousness of Hermione Granger and the loyalty of Sirius Black! I'm sure there are aspects of every character that we can all relate with on some levels, but what character(s) do you relate with the most?

I really relate to that, especially the more detailed description. I consider myself brave in relation to some RL and HOL events, but most of all, I exercise caution. I rarely go into a situation or confrontation without examining every part of what can go wrong, right or become unexpected. I also tend to be more pessimistic about things, but that way I am never negatively surprised.

So, I kind of see where Moody and I might be the same, though honestly, you can say that for almost all characters in the series.

I think I relate to Hermione the most, even though I'm not really the brightest present.

I've always thought Tonks was a phenomenal witch. She is competent in so many of the required auror traits, which is important... i guess... but something else really makes her the winner in my book. The fact that she was born as a metamorphous is absolutely awesome. Obviously useful in situations requiring stealth, but on to of that, it is a fun way to express herself in whatever way she wanted to, whenever she wanted. And the cherry on the top: marrying the most caring and entertaining werewolf of all time, and leaving the most adorable baby behind. Best couple for life!

Growing up with Harry Potter, I think it was easy for me to identify with Gryffindor characters because we spend so much time with them. I always wanted to be like Ginny (I'm a redhead, so that was a given), but my sister and I would spend hours quoting Hermione's lines along with the films. I was really into schoolwork, so for a while I thought I might be more of a Ravenclaw - I always felt Hermione had some of that in her! It didn't turn out that way, which just proves how much we change growing up and how hard it is to truly know ourselves. I guess maybe each of us have a little of all four houses in us.

As an adult though, I haven't found any particular character to resonate with who I am quite as much. I think maybe Cedric Diggory comes closest: he's immensely loyal and resolute in the pursuit of fairness/equality. In the books, he never feels he truly beat Harry at Quidditch because the match he won was the same match in which Harry was attacked by Dementors and knocked off his broom. If I remember correctly, he even tried to bring it up to his father while Mr. Diggory was bragging to Harry on the topic. I may not always be perfectly fair and loyal (can anyone?), but I strive to be and those values are some of the most important to me.

As a child I had imagined that I was most like Hermione Granger, in her studiousness and standing up for her friends. Now, I think I would relate to several characters but the one I think I would relate to most would be Molly Weasley. I am very protective of my loved ones, and as I have been told I can be scary sometimes. I tend to be very loyal to my friends and family. I am not usually brave, unless I am trying to protect my loved ones. So I guess I'd be a bit like Neville Longbottom in his younger years.

I have always felt I was a lot like Luna. I have been told this by others as well. I love her creativity and wit combined with imagination and quirky weirdness that I think really makes her so unique and fun. She is smart but don't flaunt it or show it off and I think she goes on a lot of adventures around the castle of her own making. The other character I relate to is Newt, especially for his love of creatures and his ability to completely misunderstand social dynamics (like I do ). I have always looked up to characters like Lupin, Dumbledore and McGonagall. They seem very wise.

I see myself a bit like a mix between Hermione and Luna. I love books and when you let me I sit on the sofa with a book in Hand. And I love Lunas creativity and the fact that she is always there for her friends.
