Re: 2016 Reading Challenge

Here's my challenge, it's kind of short so far, so i'm open to recommendations!

  • A book About Growth
    A series with 4 books
a book with a female lead
a biography of someone that isn't a comedian
a book that is going to be a movie

Two of my favorite things that I've come across that are not necessarily book based: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/a3/4b/41/a34b416781073eba86e9dfe75597de87.jpg Sailormoon+Doctor Who https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/fb/b3/d0/fbb3d0d0488ed...

Re: Prompt: Character Crest

http://s19.postimg.org/9mi9jzf6r/The_Ladys_Crest.png This is a crest for The Lady from Glen Cook's The Black Company series. I loved how she was written; when we got the Black Company D&D book, the character I created was based off her. Her passion, commitment and independence are things I admire. ...

Re: Favourite Cover Artists

Love those, Joey ^^ Very action oriented, which I prefer. I really enjoy Christ McGrath's work on the Dresden Files series. In this series, I really like the main character and I like the image of him, alone, fighting against what ever evil comes his way. Not that his character is usually alone, no...

Re: Favourite Cover Artists

I love the simplest, hardback covers. I love images, absolutely, but what I really love are nice fonts. Like the Harry Potter books. I have the trunk that has all of the books in hardcover, and I absolutely love it! But then these came out: http://s19.postimg.org/lui5pqisj/HPSL7_harry_potter_slyther...

Re: Favourite Cover Artists

There is a series of books, The Wheel of Time , which I totally love. The only thing that I consistently didn't like about the books was the covers -- they definitely were not my cup of tea! Then, for the last book, A Memory of Light , they changed the cover artist to Michael Whelan. My husband and...

Originally "Through the Looking-Glass" I give you "Where's the Looking-Glass" Sabrina shoved aside the clothes in the closet. Shining her flashlight in, she peered at the blank wall. it's not here either! Where could it possibly be?? Finished with the bedroom, Sabrina headed to the guest room to fi...

Re: Prompt 1: Word List

The day started out normal enough. I got up, fed my pet owl Archimedes, and headed downstairs to breakfast. The youngest of my sisters was sitting, eating breakfast, as per usual. As I went to the fridge for some milk, I heard some giggling. I turned around to see Emily smiling, like she was hiding ...

Re: HOL Life

How did you get along with your partner? Did you split the work or try to do the tasks together? Prof. Amy and I got along great! We split things pretty evenly, she usually did the writing, and the I did the puzzles or the graphic and then whichever i didn't do we alternated who did the third, thoug...
