Re: Difficult Books

I agree, Emily! Because so many people love this series, I don't admit to it very off, but for me the novels drag to the point where they're a real challenge. I had to force myself to read them.

Re: In Memory of Polaris Black

I don't know what to say. I'm speechless. She was such a kind and enthusiastic person, very supportive, and someone I'm honored to have shared these halls with.

Polaris, I'm going to miss you, lady.

Re: Book Bout - Settings for Books

Above my house, several acres back, there are hundreds of acres of flat land at the very top of the (hill? mountain?). It was created as the result of "strip mining," which is when coal companies removed the tops of the (hills? mountains?) to remove the coal. It's now covered in grass and plants and...

I'd go through all of the books, pull them out and straighten them, because so many times behind those books I'd find books that the library thought were lost forever! I also found lots of mishelved books. I still gravitate...

Re: Slug & Jiggers Apothecary - Potion Packs

My potion pack is called Vivacity! It's perfect for the witch or wizard who has no energy in general, or one who has to get up early in the morning for an important meeting, or one who must stay up late into the night for a needed study session. The primary potion is Grand Pepperupper Potion , was c...

I'm a bit partial to emery boards! They get passed out during each election so they're free, and they aren't so small that I lose them in between pages, because if I use something too thin, I may never find my page again.
