Re: Eurovision

Oh, wow! YES, EUROVISION :D I was a huge fan of the event for many years of my life. Unfortunately, in recent years I've calmed down about it, but of course I still watch it every year. I used to enjoy it more when every country had to sing in their own language, though. And also, nowadays I feel li...

Snooker and cue sports

As the World Championships of Snooker is on at the moment, I thought this was a good time for this post. Do you play snooker, or perhaps another cue sport like pool or carom billiards? Or do you enjoy following the matches on TV? Do you have a favourite player? Unfortunately, I have no talent for sp...

Re: Happy Birthday, Marcus!

Thank you! What a lovely post to find here! You all made me smile so much!

... and yes, it was a good day. I had visits from both friends and family, and it feels like I've been surrounded with joy and good things all day. I'm a little drained now, though, but I'll sleep happy :)

Re: Professional Sporting Teams, anyone?

I used to be absolutely crazy about sports as a whole. Football, team handball, and even ice hockey, though the latter was a phase many years ago. Hockey isn't really a big thing where I live, but to me it was A Sport, and therefore interesting. Apart from following my home town teams, I was also in...

Re: Earworms

I tend to think that earworms are typically those songs that are just extremely catchy; so much that you end up humming them or keeping them on repeat in your mind even though you might not even think you like them that much. At least for me, my earworms aren't usually the songs I love most - it can...

Re: How Many Books Do You Read Per Year

I would love to say that I read a lot, but sadly that's not true. I like to read if I take the time to sit down and do so, but I also often chose other activities instead of reading. I still always have a goal of reading at least a book a month, though, so that would be 12 in a year. I'm on almost 3...

Re: Tattoos

I do not have any tattoos myself. The main reason is that I know how often my taste changes and so I cannot imagine getting a tattoo and then changing my mind after a while and regretting having the said thing on my hand. Wow, you are exactly like me. This is THE reason I don't have any tattoos yet...

Re: What draws you to a song

I agree with the first post, that it's almost always the melody for me as well. In fact, melody is an absolute requirement. Even a really fast rock song must have something melodic about it for me to like it. I don't like if it's just rhythm and power, with no melody. Also, I tend to be quite picky ...

Re: Favorite Songs

I love how there are so many of people's favourite songs here. Also, I admire those of you who are able to name favourites so clearly. For me, it's very hard to say which songs are my absolute favourites, because it depends on my mood very much. There are still some "eternal favourites" out there, t...

I don't remember if I ever posted here, but if I did, it's probably so long ago that I have a few new favorite songs now. First of all, my two favorite songs ever are "Stop Loving You" by Toto (because it was the first chart hit I remember liking) and "Glory of Love" by Peter Cetera. Both of these s...

Even though my name isn't English, it shouldn't be hard to pronounce. Just remember that the R's are trilled (like in Spanish for example), and the pronounciation is pretty straightforward - I guess it's like Ar-DEE-tah. The last name is even easier, because you just read it out with trilled R, and ...
