Good Ol' Lover Boy - Queen (Thank you VoicePlay)
But there's a silver lining behind every cloud
Just poor people that's all we were
Tryin' make a living out of black land dirt
We'd get together in a family circle singing loud.

Don't be discouraged
Oh I realize
It's hard to take courage
In a world full of people

Re: Favorite Type Of Music
How have I avoided posting here? My favorite genre is probably country. Specifically 80-2000s country music (not too twangy and before the ultra-pop movement that took over for awhile T-Swift ) The main exception to that time period is Home Free who always release great music. Seriously, if you have...

Re: Deja vu
For me, deja vu is one of the weirdest feelings. Mine are typically dream to real life moments. The first one I can vividly remember happening was at a Halloween/Costume party at one of my high school classmate's house. A group of us were sitting around a computer waiting to see the regional honor b...

Re: Anime Fans
While I watched some anime when I was really young (Pokemon, Digimon, Yugioh), I didn't start watching actual anime until I was a senior in high school. Of course the anime that I restarted with was an 18+ anime (Hetalia). Since then, I have also watched Fruits Basket (old version) and Soul Eater as...

*BUMP*
I would like to do this in mid-November if any one else is available that way we can avoid the holidays and the crazy schedules everyone has around that time.

Re: Extra Credit 4 & 5 Team-ups
I am willing to ref or play Quaffle games and am available any day from 12 am-3:30 am start time or by request unless my schedule changes. I am willing to play Snitch and am working on trying to figure out how to set up to ref this as well so I could maybe do that as well. Times are the same for this.

Extra Credit 4 & 5 Team-ups
I know this is probably a ways out for many of us, but it will help if we can figure out who wants to play/ref and when you would be available. Please give all times in HOL time (GMT) so it is easier to figure out times. So please feel free to post if you would like to participate and what times you...

Re: Announcing HOL Version 5
As far as I am aware, a large portion of the update was actually done over the last few months with updates coming out every once in a while to finish releasing the update. So don't worry you won't have to completely relearn the website so soon after joining.

Re: The Language Barrier
This is probably one of the things that I have been lucky with. Since I am a native English speaker living in the United States, not a lot of our media is subbed/dubbed. The main times that I will watch anything that is, is when I am watching anime and I will watch either version. Some of the decisi...

Re: Reading With the Awards
The only time I remember reading books simply because of the awards was for Battle of the Books in high school. All of the books on the Need-to-Know list are award winners either at the local (statewide) level or national/international (Alex, Newberry, CS King, etc.). Other than that, if a book has ...

Will the web address stay the same for the main page? I tend to keep the site open whenever possible. Also do we have a potential date for when the change-over will happen?

Re: Movie Adaptations of Books
While I will agree that most adaptations are not as good as the books they are based on, one that I think is actually better is Matilda . Some of this may just be bias as I do believe that I saw the movie first, but sometimes the actors chosen can have a big part in why a movie might be loved more o...

Re: Published Fanfiction
There are a few that came to mind right away. Different Authors: Looking Glass Wars and sequels by Frank Beddor (listed as heavily influenced by Alice in Wonderland ) and Peter and the Starcatchers by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson as well as the first sequel (written as a prequel to Peter and Wendy ...

Re: Ctrl + V
Backstory is needed before the words. The last thing that I ctrl + c on my laptop was when I was putting together lyric slides for chapel service at college. (a new person is assigned every week and I happened to be the one for this last week). I tend to look at a website to figure out the words and...
