Riverdale
Are there any Riverdale Bulldog fans here? I got a late start on this show (started after season 1 ended) but I was pulled right in. I do not have much knowledge of the Archie comics works so I just appreciate the show as it is. In my opinion it’s better acted than some other teen shows out there. M...

Re: Discussion #4 - Values and Wizarding Jobs
My Value Results are as follows: Economic = 14 Theoretical = 13 Aesthetic = 9 Social = 6 Political = 9 Religious = 9 The only result that surprised me is the religious one. I thought that would be the lowest as I was not raised religious and do not give it priority. I would have thought aesthetic or...

Podcast
Hello HOL-ers! I recently came across a Harry Potter themed podcast entitled Fantastic Geeks and Where to Find Them . Basically it is two fangirls talking about the Potterverse and mention other fandoms such as Star Wars. Episodes 1, 4, 5 and 7 specifically talk about The Boy Who Lived. Has anyone l...

Re: Discussion #3 - Intelligence
I took this quiz twice but it was because I felt there were two or three questions where two of the choices fit. Both times I ended up with Linguistic Intelligence also known as Word Smart . When reading through the lesson I felt there were a few possibilities for the type of intelligence I would ha...

The Greatest Showman
The story of P.T. Barnum comes to life in this movie filled with song, dance and curiosities. There have been some liberties taken in terms of the true story of the man behind Barnum’s, but overall it is an inspiring and colorful tale. It took me a while to see this but I was initially intrigued. Th...

Re: Do you play a sport?
Up until I was 15 I was a gymnast and then, after an injury, I switched to ice hockey. I got to play in college and my job has a small league. Both are different but very fun.

INFJ Introvert(6%) iNtuitive(31%) Feeling(19%) Judging(19%) Only the INTUITIVE part had a moderate ranking, the others were slight. It makes me wonder...if I had answered one (or a few) questions a little differently, would the result be different? Reading the description from the lesson about INFJ...

Re: Introductions
Hello there. I am Scarlett Lacarnum, a 7th Year Ravenclaw prefect. It is my last year so I need this class to prepare for my future. After graduation I would like to work with the Accidental Magical Reversal Squad or be a code breaker. Two different fields, I know but my interests are varied...

Re: What book you have read would make a great movie?
There are two trilogies that I thought would make great movies, but I recently learned that one is already becoming a movie. That’s The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken. The Razorland Series by Ann Aguire would make a good movie. It has a lot of dystopian elements but the characters are great and ...

Spells You Would Like to See
The Wizarding world is full of many magical spells and potions. Some regrow bones, some cure all poisons and there are spells to fix broken objects. We all know food cannot be created and the dead cannot come back to life. Putting Gamp’s Law aside, are there any spells you would like to create or se...

Re: How Many Books Do You Read Per Year
I try to a for 52 books per year, so one a week. Lately I have been surpassing that by 10-12 books. It would be nice to get through 100 in a year. Maybe 2018....

I really like this new Raj/Howard storyline. I think it has a lot of real life applications. Everyone should cut out toxic people, including friends if they have them.

My all time favorite song is "In The Meantime" by Spacehog. It got me through a tough time. I also really, really love "Today" by The Smashing Pumpkins.

Re: Methods of Storytelling
I also read Illuminae and I found this method of storytelling appealing. It's different and creative. As long as I can follow the story and there are the elements of character development and plot progression I am fine with it. Overall I think it's a great way to explore plot twists. Maybe I wasn't ...

Songs for Books
I've seen this topic elsewhere and found it intriguing so I wanted to share and see what connections came up here. A lot of songs are stories in themselves. Are there any songs (or albums) that remind you of a book or series? For instance, every time I hear "Gasoline" by Halsey I think of Cinder , t...

Re: The Big Bang Theory
I also love Big Bang Theory! I got hooked in Season 2 and had to binge watch Season 1. But I am all caught up and never miss an episode. My favorite character is Sheldon as well. I think he has grown a lot and is very quirky. I find him endearing. It's nice to see the guys who were bullied and calle...

Re: What Do Books Mean to You?
I can remember that I always loved reading and that my first book was Where the wild Things Are . When my older sister started school I was stuck at home and would read through all the children's books we had in the house. Also, I grew up in a military home and no matter how many houses we lived in ...
