Re: Fantastic Beasts Fancast
The late Heath Ledger was one of my favorite actors, and although he'd be a little young for the role, I think he would have made a great Gellert Grindelwald. Not his natural hair color, but he definitely pulled off Grindelwald's token golden locks. https://s26.postimg.org/n8jkza3uh/Fantastic_Beasts...

Re: How did you meet your best friend?
My story is slightly different from Scarlet's. I was worried (not skeptical!) that she had heard about my tendency for troublemaking and wouldn't want to join a team with me on it. Our first interaction was when I sent her a message thanking her for giving me a chance. "Don't blow it," she said. Spo...

Re: Beauty and the Beast 2017
A Beauty and the Beast thread! :D I've been spoiling the soundtrack for myself for the past week or so, it was great to finally hear it all in the theater. I liked the new songs. Evermore is my absolute favorite. Days In The Sun is beautiful too, but yeah, it seemed a little out of place in the film...
Re: The 100
You're definitely not the only one watching. I started watching at the recommendation of my Secret Elf, Niniel, but I haven't gotten far enough yet to form an opinion on the transformation of the characters you mentioned. I like the concept a lot though and I think you hit the nail on the head about...

What timezone do you live in?
Some of these BINGO squares are pretty tricky! I'm especially having difficulties finding people that live in my time zone. So why don't we just post saying what time zone we live in?
I'm in Central time zone (UTC-6:00). How about you?

Re: What's the Latest Movie You've Watched?
Okay, I'm back with an update on Inside Out! I went to see it with Scarlet this past weekend. I wasn't too impressed by it, but I might just have high expectations for Pixar movies. It was at least worth the price of admission (which is crazy cheap at 11:30 am, just saying) and I really liked the vo...

Re: Lights! Camera! Action! Pitch your own movie plot!
I was going to post in here a couple nights ago with a movie plot I made up on the spot, but I got way too into all the little details and I couldn't make it sound as cool as it was in my head. So here's a brief synopsis: A teenage boy named Max McManus (guess how I came up with that) has a near dea...

Re: Pitch Perfect
I haven't seen the second one yet, but Pitch Perfect is one of my favorite movies, top ten easily, maybe even top five. Anna Kendrick and Skylar Astin are my OTP. Not even their characters, I need them to be together in real life or my life will be incomplete.

Re: What's the Latest Movie You've Watched?
I watched Angels in the Outfield last night with my two favorite people: Prof. Scarlet Leslie-Lewis and Prof. Opal Curare! It was fun times. The missus will probably make me take her to go see Inside Out. I hope it's not as heavy as some of you are making it out to be, I really don't want to cry in ...

Re: Bracket Blitz
Scarlet already wrote an article for the Alte with all the behind-the-scenes details, so I'll keep this brief. My least favorite task was having to log into each team's forum every day. Everything else was a lot of fun. I really liked updating the bracket at the end of every week and seeing which te...

Re: Autumn Term 2014/2015 Page
My first term as a professor went pretty smoothly. I'll admit it was disappointing to learn that HOL professors don't actually get paid, but I had a lot of fun teaching Werewolves 101 nonetheless. Reading what my students had to say was really entertaining and it was inspiring to see how much though...
