Okay, Prof. Adderholt..
Next time I'll try to give positive comments. Now I know why my comments are deleted. Sometimes I don't realize that everyone's ability is not the same. I always measure people by looking at my own-self. And I know that's not good. :D
I don't think it is ever appropriate to tell someone that they could have tried harder. Unless you have the ability to sit and watch someone do their project and know what they are thinking, you have no idea how hard they tried. What might seem easy to you, might actually be quite difficult to others.
Constructive criticism is always welcome on projects, but there is a line. Art projects are for fun and giving someone a negative comment might not only take that fun away, but also discourage them from participating in the future.
Remember the old adage, if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.
@Cliodna Same here that is why I give criticism. I am always try to be open and honest even if sometimes it might be a comment like. You could of tried harder. When I say that is because I know that they could of done better. However it does hurt when I have to say that or anything else negative. Oh why do I have to feel things. grrr.
@ Bull J. : That's what I feel after giving someone a negative criticism. Giving that thing doesn't mean that I don't like their project. I appreciate their result, and want them to do it better. I know they can do better than.. :D
It hurts so much giving someone negative criticism or giving someone a 7 or lower, but I sometimes feel I have to to help people do better next time. Anyone feel the same way?
Yay, I just posted one of these projects. I don't care whether it's good or bad. Now, I'm going to plan for posting another project. Just wish me luck.
