Prof. Ruben D. D. F. Orion, MusD (pr_ror) is a Gryffindor professor who joined HOL on July 2001 as a First Year, having ascended to professorship in 2004. Prof. Ruben Orion teaches Magical Musicology and is President of the HOL Tolkien Society.

Timeline
- July 2001 - Joins HOL as Ruben Granger and is sorted into Gryffindor House.
- September 2002 - Hosts the first HOL Lord of the Rings Character Competition in association with HOLTS.
- November 2002 - Changes his name to Ruben Orion.
- March 2003 - He becomes a News Reporter for the Gryffindor Magazine The Paw Print.
- September 2003 - He joins the Lion's Pride Gryffindor Awards Committee.
- April 2004 - He is made HOL Professor and starts assisting Prof. Susana Orion on Magical Musicology class.
- August 2004 - He is made President of the HOL Tolkien Society by the HOL Staffmeeting.
- September 2004 - After Prof. Susana Orion quit HOL, he takes over Magical Musicology, becoming its official teacher.
- December 2006 - Becomes Head of the HOL Music Department.
- February 2007 - After a year of absence, rejoins the Lion's Pride Awards Committee.

Ruben Orion was born on the 10th June 1987 in a city 80 kilometers away from Lisbon, Portugal. He entered the Queen Leonor School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in Portugal in 1998 and graduated in 2004. He skipped his 5th Year in the School because his knowledge of all the subjects allowed him to go straight from Fourth Year to Sixth Year. He graduated with the following N.E.W.T.s: Advanced Musical Curses, Advanced Musical Charms and Spells, Musical Perception, Muggle Music, Musical Neurology, History of Music in the Wizarding World and Music in Muggle Literature. In 2001 his family moved to Ireland and he entered Hogwarts On-Line (HOL), maintaining his curricular activities in both Queen Leonor School and HOL. In the latter he studied for three years in order to master in Musical Interpretation and Advanced Musical Neurology. In 2004, when he graduated from Queen Leonor School, he applied to teach at HOL and was accepted by the Head Office lead by Headmaster Emerald Dybendahl. He started teaching Magical Musicology in that same school year. He studies the Piano since he was ten and is currently mastering the instrument in the University of Magical Musicology. Ruben is the last son of a very old Portuguese wizard family. His family is now all back in Portugal and Ruben goes there often during the holidays.
Physical Description: Ruben is tall and slim. His eyes are dark brown as well as his straight hair. Often dresses black. As a mediterranean, his skin is not pale, but still he gets sun burns easily in his country.
Likes: Music and Medicine. Dislikes: Sports and Coffee.
