Re: Flash Fiction Round 4
Making sure nobody was around, I opened my backpack ever so slightly and whispered, "You can come out now". A tiny blue fairy fluttered out, with a shy smile on her face. "How was my speech at school?'', I asked. "It was lovely!", she replied, flying in circles.

I walked quickly to my seat, eager to start today's class. Our teacher promised to tell us a story about fairy today. "Oh, this is going to be an interesting speech!" I said as I adjusted my backpack on the chair.

A muffled voice was heard as I stood tongue-tied, pondering what I had forgotten to buy. A few wild seconds later, I remembered that there was a fairy in my backpack, even now continuing with her delightful speech about silver mirrors. "Oh, one silver mirror, please, Mr. Shopkeeper", I smiled.

More stories have been written, and Beans are sent out.
Our next words:
statue, cube, spark
In the night sky, a bright light glows, getting larger and larger. Whooosh! A small glowing cube lies smouldering at the foot of a Hippogriff statue. A spark leaps from the cube to the statue; the Hippogriff shakes itself, steps off the pedestal and takes flight into the night sky. (50 words)

In the frozen realm, an ice cube lay before the gates. I lit a matchstick, but it was so cold that the match went out after a spark. I tried Incendio instead, melting the cube, and unlocking a portal as the gates opened, revealing a statue of the ice queen.

I stood gazing at the huge statue which sat upon a cube of solid ice. I ventured closer to touch it, and when my finger pressed against the cold metal, a spark flashed between flesh and steel. I jumped back quickly, and glared. How rude!(48 words)

Walking around the exhibits, I noticed a tiny mouse statue on the ground. The statue looked hungry, so I put a cheese cube beside it for laughs. When the cheese touched one of the paws on the statue, there was a spark, and suddenly, both were gone. (47 words)

She sat before the statue, a cold, stone cube in her hand, the only piece left of him. Their spark had once lit up the world, but now, only silence filled the void. She whispered his name, but even the wind refused to answer, leaving her utterly alone.

A unicorn-shaped statue was just built in the park near my neighborhood. The unicorn stands on one leg atop a cube, its surface emitting a spark when hit by sunlight.

Beans have been sent out for the latest stories written.
Next up are:
book, Stetson, stream
She stepped carefully, crossing the long board which spanned the stream, then hurried to her favorite reading spot (a fallen log) by the water. Settling down, she took off her Stetson, placing it beside her, then opened her book, to continue reading of this latest 'magic' adventure! (47 words)

Georgie sat by the stream, reading a book about proper hat etiquette. His Stetson, far too big, slid down over his eyes. He muttered, "Should've read this before buying the hat." As the wind picked up, the hat flew off into the water. "Well, that's a sign," he sighed.

He strolled along the stream, the flowing water calming him. As he relaxed, the grip on his book loosened, causing it to fall into the water. He removed his Stetson as he watched it float away, wiped his brow, and figured today was just one of those days. (48 words)

Reading a book by the stream is the most relaxing thing one can do. But, as Meffy did it that day, she heard a strange noise and saw a Stetson floating down the stream towards her. Little did she know it belonged to the man upstream whom she admired.

He lay on the bank, the burbling stream lulling him to sleep. The book he was trying to read lay unopened on his chest. His Stetson dipped lazily over his face and he entered the land of dreams with a sleepy smile.(45 words)

Our next three words are:
rain, house, kitten
The kitten rushed into the house, going through the dog door. She'd been utterly taken by surprise by the rain. "I can go hunting later!" she muttered to herself as she went to curl up by the fire. (38 words)

Jimmy danced excitedly on the rug in his velociraptor halloween costume as his mother tried in vain to put his mittens on.
“Moom! Velociraptors don’t wear mittens.” Jimmy complained as he danced around.
“This one does or he doesn’t go trick or treating.” Mom said softly. That was all it took. Jimmy stopped and let her put his mittens on. No way was he missing all the candy!

Re: Flash Fiction Round 4
A little kitten was stranded alone in the pouring rain. Her siblings and her mother, the cat, were all inside the house by the fireplace. A few raindrops of agony later, the front door opened and a familiarly soft meow called out to her.

It’s a warm night, despite the rain pouring outside since morning. I sit by the window, watching droplets slide down the glass of my house. On my lap rests a book, and curled up beside me is my adorable kitten.
