Wow, I've read and like loads of books but these are my all time favourites, I can't choose between these lot except that Harry Potter is and always will be my favourite!! /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
So here goes:
His Dark Materials - Northern Lights, The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass
Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, The Return of the King and The Hobbit
Artemis Fowl - The first one, The Artic Incident and The Eternity Code
The Edge Chronicles - Beyond the Deepwoods, Stormchaser, Midnight Over Sanctaphrax, The Curse of the Gloamglozer and The Last of the Sky Pirates
The Ender Series - Ender's Game
Sabriel Series - Sabriel
A Merlin Conspiracy
I've read others but these are the book that stand out, that I loved most.
I'd like to read the whole Ender Series and Sabriel Series and the rest of The Edge chronicles too so that's what I'm planning to read now, then there's a book called 'Eragon' I saw in the library and thought, 'Oooh!' and so I'll probably read that too, then I'll have to find something else to read while I wait for Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince to come out! /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Check back on page seven, I've posted some of my favorites. All of them are awesome. You might especially like Sabriel, by Garth Nix. It's very similar to HP, although I think it's a bit scarier. Ender's Game is a good read, too. Same basic concept (really talented kids fighting a war), minus the magic. Really interesting story and some very quotable dialogue! The kids are quite a bit younger than the HP crowd, though (Ender is six at the beginning of the story).Marmy Stevens wrote:I am definately hooked on Harry. Every time I try to read another book, I just can't seem to get into it. I need to broaden my horizons (and mind). Any suggestions? /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="<_<" border="0" alt="dry.gif" />

Well, aside from Harry Potter series, I'm into reading the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan...I mostly read fanfictions and one-stand novels...like Anne Rice or Julie Garwood...don't really like much of a series book...with the exception, of course, of Harry Potter and Wheel of Time

It's hard to pick a favorite really, but I'll try:
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Good in Bed - Jennifer Weiner (I think that is how you spell her last name)
She's Come Undone - Wally Lamb
White Oleander - Janet Fitch
and I'll leave it at that for now.

Hey there!
I used to follow The Babysitters' Club when I was 7, but finally grew out of it. My all-time favourite books will have to be the Lord of The Rings series, Harry Potter series and all the Anne Rice vampire books. I also read other varieties, especially if it's horror, magic, fantasy or mystery based.
I'm pretty much a book-worm. /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

Obviously, the Harry Potter series is a favourite. I also like the Left Behind series, Animorphs, Catherine Asaro's Skolian series, and Madeline L'Engle. There are many others, but those are the most beloved. Most of my Animorphs books are falling apart.

Apparently it's a universal thing - Animorphs books falling apart. My friend's copies are all in shambles...
Anyway, amongst my favourites are:
Harry Potter (naturally), Terry Pratchett's Discworld series (absolutely brilliant!), Lord of the Rings, David Eddings' Belgariad series, Lois McMaster Bujold's Vor series, Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech...
There are plenty more, but these are the ones I can come up with right now.

Let's see... my favourite books are definitely things I've read in school (other than HP and Hitchhiker's Guide). My favourite book this past year was "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" which is really a play, but it's absolutely fantastic. I love it because it makes you think. I got done with it and had to call up my friends to talk about it.
From the year before that, I really enjoyed "One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich" which is a fairly short book, but full of social criticism, imagery/symbolism, and in about 160 pages, develops such character in so many people by only describing their everyday tasks and motivations as they go through a single, normal day of a prison camp in Siberia. (Ok, I really enjoy social criticism novels.)
