I recently read a book called The Violinist's Thumb by Sam Kean and in it, he describes the makeup of DNA which everyone who has made it through high school biology is familiar with.
Something that I have heard about before but never really looked into is scientists composing DNA melodies by translating A-C-G-T into musical notes with T translating into E. Once, scientists even converted a Chopin nocturne into DNA which allowed them to see a sequence similar to part of the gene for RNA polymerase. And this is actually really cool since polymerase uses DNA to build RNA which builds proteins which builds cells which make up humans. So our DNA could quite literally hold a melody.
And in that case, could the entire universe be based on musical melody and harmony? It's a strange thought but one that has me mind blown.
