This thread is so students who want to become class assistants can connect with teachers who are looking for assistants.
If you’re interested in becoming a class assistant, please fill out the form at the bottom of this thread and PM it to me. I will then add your application as a reply here, so any teachers who are looking for an assistant can contact you directly.
Before you do, please keep in mind that there are some requirements for becoming an assistant:
1. You must be 13 years of age or older in RL.
2. You must have earned at least 1 quill during the last term.
3. You can only assist up to 3 (three) classes a term.
4. You can’t assist and take a class at the same time. You also can’t take a class you’ve already assisted, so if you’re interested in taking a certain subject, you probably don’t want to accept an assistant position for it until you’ve taken it.
5. If you’re a student teacher, you can’t assist a class if you yourself have an assistant for one of your own classes.
If you find a position with a teacher and would like your application taken down, please let me know. However, if you’re interested in assisting multiple classes (no more than 3 though, remember!) it can stay up until you’re fully booked up for the term.
Not all teachers want assistants, so unfortunately not everyone who wants to assist is guaranteed a spot. If you don’t find one this time round, don’t be discouraged. There’s always next term!
Please fill out this form and send it to me:

Year:
Have you assisted before?
Are you already assisting a class (or classes) this term?
Why are you interested in becoming an assistant?
What do you think would make you a good assistant?
Roughly how much time do you think you could spend assisting on a weekly basis?
Good luck!

Have you assisted before? I have not.
Are you already assisting a class (or classes) this term? I am not.
Why are you interested in becoming an assistant? I'm interested in becoming an assistant as a way to prepare for when I eventually write a class of my own.
What do you think would make you a good assistant? I am on top of checking my e-mails and the forums so I'll be on top of keeping track of and grading assignments that students send in, depending on what the teacher would like me to do.

Why are you interested in becoming an assistant? I love to assist others in things and I am interested in learning how a class is run/marked and graded for when I one day want to host my own class.
What do you think would make you a good assistant? I check up on HOL and my messages every day and am keen/particular on details and detail tracking (such as with marks/points). I am good at following instructions and being consistent.
Roughly how much time do you think you could spend assisting on a weekly basis? A few hours every day at the least.

Why are you interested in becoming an assistant? I'm interested because I would like to somehow to help a teacher with grading/marking assignments so maybe one day I would have some experience to write a class too
What do you think would make you a good assistant? I keep checking in HOL every single day and I would do the same thing grading/marking assignments which would teacher assign me to do.

Have you assisted before?: No, I haven't.
Are you already assisting a class (or classes) this term?: Poisons and Wand-making. I’m looking to assist in classes I have taken before.
Why are you interested in becoming an assistant?: I believe being an assistant would offer valuable learning opportunities and prepare me to teach my own class next term.
What do you think would make you a good assistant?: I am diligent with a strong attention to detail, always triple-checking my work to avoid errors. My work quality is generally well-received, and I stay on top of emails and HOL owls without forgetting tasks. I am also very systematic and organized, which helps me minimize mistakes.
Roughly how much time do you think you could spend assisting on a weekly basis?: I can spend time assisting on an as-needed basis, depending on the teacher's requirements, that class's workload, and my real-life schedule. Regardless, I will ensure that everything necessary is completed.

Are you already assisting a class (or classes) this term? No.
Why are you interested in becoming an assistant? I'd like to one day become a Student Teacher myself (maybe even a Professor after I graduate HOL), and being Class Assistant could maybe be a nice step up to achieving that goal.
What do you think would make you a good assistant? I check HOL on a regularly basis and I (try to, at least) keep up with my own homework, considering the deadlines. English is my second language and I'm fluent at it (not perfect, but fluent). I'm very organised. I love making homework for HOL and I'm sure I'll love grading it as well.
Roughly how much time do you think you could spend assisting on a weekly basis? A couple of hours each week.
