SIN-door uh-LOY-ark

I register as Sindor Aloyarc in the 2001/2002 term, during HOL’s introductory years, graduating as a Seventh Year Ravenclaw in 2008. To give you some context, I was 12 (almost 13) years old when I joined, and while it’s been many years since I’ve been away post-graduation, I’m returning now at 31 to explore these halls again (and perhaps even teach another class next year!)

Many people have told me they thought my name was pronounced similar to the word “cinder” however this is not the case (though I have used Sindorfella as an IRC nickname before).

My last name, Aloyarc, is actually the word Crayola spelled backwards because I’ve always been a colorful character. Splashy and whimsical, sometimes obnoxiously so, whether I’d care to admit it or not.

Since then my philosophy naturally began to draw from the quote saying that “People are like crayons. It’s not what color you are, but the picture you make!”

A lot of people pronounce my name as "Loo-chee-ah" however my name is actually pronounced as "Loo-see-ah" instead! I am never offended when people get it wrong though, I think, accroding to tradition, it is me who pronounces it wrong. My surname is pronounced "Din-ah-poh-lee"

I think my name is easy to pronounce. Aura is sort of like OR-uh and then Nightmoon is simply night and moon put together.

My name is pretty easy compared to others, but I still want to share it just in case, so here it is - She-la Bag-nold :D

I feel that my name is pretty easy to say, but I'll post how I say it anyways.

Hello! I thought that this would be a good post to start with as there are a couple different ways to pronounce my name. For our purposes, my name is pronounce Ly-ruh, while my last name is pronounce Val-waa. My parents were big into Greek Mythology and decided to pick a name to honor Apollo and so they picked Lyra (as he purportedly invented the Lyre).
