This is a shot in the dark, but... anybody know IPA?

I think the IPA way to write the Norwegian pronunciation of my name is: sufíja ándɛɾsɛn ...But the British way -- sofíja ǽndəsən -- and the American way -- sofíja ǽndəɹsɪn -- are okay too. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I think my name is pretty straightforward, though because of my father being German, my last name is pronounced a little differently than it would be in English.

Brenna is Brenn-a with the accent on a
Westfeld is Vest-felt

Most people just call me Bre for short, which is pronounced Bree.

My name is so simply, check it out.

Cliodna Bladvak
Cli = Klei
Od = Yod
Na = Na

Blad = Blad
Vak = Vak

So, my name is pronounced "Klei-You-Na Blad-Vak"

Mine is slightly complicated.

Eiranne

Pretend you're saying air only starting with an E instead of an A
then an i which isn't written, but the sound is there
then the sound of the english name ann

Eir: Air with an E instead of an A
... : i to connect the name
anne: ann

Grey is just pronounced like the colour grey

Le (short e, like in "led")-NORE (like in "more")

SPIA (like in "piano")-ggi (the double g sounding like in "George")

Relatively easy, once you get familiar with it.

It's easy, I guess. I don't want to offend anyone by explaining the obvious, but, well, here's my name:

Rupert Foyle... the Rupert's easy enough and Foyle, well that;s as in the word "foil". Simple.

Mine might be just a little more complicated /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Don't hit me if I state something obvious at times^^
Ravariel Aiwince...

Ravariel is stressed on the second syllabe, it's Ra-va-ri-el, each of these four being a syllabe on its own. The 'a' is like the second a in 'alarm', the i like in 'hit' and the e like the first 'e' in 'enter'.
(oh, and the 'r' is lightly rolled with the tip of the tongue... but that's the not-so-important details^^')

Aiwince is stressed on the second syllabe as well: Ai-winc-e.
The 'ai' is like the 'i' in 'right', 'w' is like in 'well', 'i' like in 'hit' again, c is like in 'coal', and 'e' again like in 'enter'.
As a sidenote: This should be much easier for German speakers^^' And yup, I'm a language geek /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> But I didn't make all that up... Tolkien did /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />
