HOL Goals 2024/2025

The Gold Spirit Award was begun several years ago as part of something known as HOL Appreciation Month. It’s designed to help motivate you to fulfill your personal goals for the school year, however big or small, whatever they might be. Anyone is welcome, be they student, postgraduate, or professor. Read the criteria below and then have a think about what you’d like to achieve for yourself this year. Once you’re done, post your goals as a reply to this thread and get to work on them. You may earn a shiny award at year’s end!

Criteria:
You must make at least 3 goals, though we’d like 4 or 5.
They must be goals we can check and verify in some way. If you want to collect a certain amount of beans or the like, you’ll need to send me a screenshot of you having the right amount.
One goal must be how many house points you’d like to earn (either overall or in particular classes)
One goal must be related to classes (number of quills you want to earn, number of OWLs you want to complete, number of classes you want to teach/assist)
You must achieve (or get very close) to at least 3 of your goals to qualify for an award

• Earn 3 quills

  participate in one event for each house

1. Earn 1,500 house points
2. Earn a perfect 300 points in a class
3. Earn 5 quills
4. Submit to the Howler
5. Submit a project in the art or library department

[Anne-Marie Gagne]

• I got a total of 2,996 points from my classes last year so I'd like to make that a perfect 3,000 this year so I'm hoping to get a perfect 1,500 this term.

• If I don't make a perfect 1,500 points this term, I'd like to get a perfect 300 points in at least three classes and earning a quill for every class.

• I'm also hoping to assist at least one class this term.

• Hoping to submit at least once in the HOwLer that isn't my article.

1. Earn 5 quills
2. Partake in a project in the library and/or art department
3. Earn at the least 2000 house points
4. Earn a perfect 300 points in any class
5. Successfully host/co-host an event ether in house or on the main forum

1 - Earn at least six quills
2 - Earn at least 1500 house points
3 - Participate in at least three activities around the forums
4 - Successfully help organise/run at least two house/HOL activities
5 - Get a perfect 300 in at least one class

• Get at least 3500 points.
• Get all 10 quills from my classes.
• Get at least 30 awards.
• Participate at least once in a Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin house-wide activity should they be hosted.
• Submit something to all Howler issues.
• Participate in at least one Book Club activity, should they be hosted.

My goals for the year:

1. Finish writing my gemstones class during the first term.
2. Actually teach said class during the second term.
3. Organize and run (or help to organize and run) at least one activity in Ravenclaw.
4. Participate in at least one activity in each of the 4 forums and the HOL forum.

• Earn 3 quills
• Earn 1,000 house points
• Participate in at least one event for each house
• Submit at least once to the Howler.

- Earn 10 Quills
- Complete at least 5 OWLs

Goals for the Year

Earn at least 1,500 Points

My HOL goals for 2024/2025:
1. Earn at least 3 quills in total and at least 2 awards from whatever source.
2. Submit to the Library Department at least once and submit a project to the Art Department at least once.
3. Earn at least 900 house points from classes.
4. Submit at least one article to the Howler.
5. Participate in a castle-wide event and see it to completion at least once.

1. Earn at least 500 points in the school year.
2. Earn at least 2 scales per term
3. Pass at least 4 of my owls
4. Aim to teach 6 classes during the year - 3 per term
5. Participate in at least 2 activities in the forum

[Louis Walles]

1. Pass my two OWLS (Care of Magical Creatures and Potions) that I failed last year
2. Earn at least 3 quills in the autumn term
3. Have at least 20 students in all my 3 classes all together.
4. Earn at least 1k points this year.
5. Get at least 2 awards this year.

[Saffire Peregrene]

My goals are:
1. Pass my classes.
2. Complete the classes I didn't get completed last year due to late start.
3. Participate in at least 1 activity this year.
