"Astrid" is a Scandinavian name and means "Unusual beauty and strength".

My name is Mariya Rebecca van Nimwegen. Mariya is just another way to write Maria - but you pronounce it the same. Maria is my second name and I use it online. Rebecca ... well, I just like the name so much.

'Van Nimwegen' means from Nijmegen, a place in the Netherlands. I choose it because there's a common known mediaeval story (common known in the Netherlands /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />) called 'Mariken van Nimwegen' and I'm obsessed with the middle ages and information about it.

I'm slightly unoriginal with my name. I'm a fan of the anime 'Neon Genesis Evangelion', and while looking through a site of names I saw one I remembered being in that series.(It's not this name, but it gave me the idea to look the others up.)I then remembered the enemies in that series having cool sounding names, and looked it up. I went through the list of them until I saw this one. As for his last name.. I chose my name because the words Daisy and Meadow seem to go well together because of the plant connections. I think it's a very pretty name.

For me, I love Astronomy, so Aurora came from Aurora Borealis. Also Aurora means dawn, and that is one of my favorite times of day. My last name came from the author of a book.

My name is one I created for the novel that I am working on. Taru is a character of mine that I fell in love with when I was creating her, and ever since then I have used the name online. I have gone though a lot of names online, (Emilia Wolfe, Brynaea Wolfe, Tala Cale, Bryn Hunter, Queton Aremec, Howling Wolf, and more) but Taru Hunter is a character that is me in the most true sense of the word. I guess she is a bit of a mary sue in the novel, but I'm not perfect, and she certainly isn't, and so I guess I can get away with it. Hunter comes from the fact that she is a great master of hunting, it is more a description then a name, but because the rules said I needed two names, she got it.

Well I created my HOL Name, Drew, because of my favorite actress, Drew Barrymore. I am also planning on naming my daughter that when I have kids one day. My last name is Baker and I got it from the movie Cheaper by the Dozen.

Well, I like "sierra". I got it from a Japanese comic.

Then "dave" came from a gank name at my junior high, Davent. Then, I cut the "nt" and finally came to Dave.

Well actually, I don't have the exact reason why I chose this name as my HOL-name. I just like, then I use.

Well - Evridiki is a Greek name. Actually, it's also the name of a pop star from Cyprus, so I took it from her, probably. Well, at least she gave me the idea, and I like the name, so.../smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Besides, I'm a fan of almost everything Greek, so I wanted my HOL name to be at least part Greek.

Silverwing is just the last name I came up with when I made my HOL name. I like it beause it's rather unique and unusual, but it's still meaningful, and not a typical surname.

My character, Portia Guidicellie, her first name is really my real name. My dad basically named me Porita becuase it's his dream car (Porsche). While the last name came from the last name of my "karter" crush.

The name Thalia is from Greek mythology, she was the muse of comedy and pastoral poetry. She was also one of the Graces (or Charities), who also inspired artistic creativity. I just thought the name Burke sounded good, despite the not-so-nice HP character of the same name.

Aberforth is one of my favourite name in the HP series, so I thought that such a ridiculous name was just what I needed. As for Yelloweyes, it's my AllPoetry account name. Plus, I have a twinge of yellow in my irises.

I wish my name had some really cool meaning behind it, but sadly it doesn't. I've always loved the name Alexa, but I wanted to add a twist so it became Alexia. And then I had to look for a last name. So while I'm frantically trying to search my brain for a last name, I saw a box by my computer that said 'repair'. So I took that and spelt it backwards.

So you get Alexia Riaper. I've come to like the name a lot and use it in a bunch of other RPGs. So if you see and Alexia Riaper elsewhere- good chance its me!
