If the sorting hat sorted you into another house than your current one, what would it be?

If the sorting hat sorted you into another house than your current one, what would it be?
Say the sorting hat sorted you into another house than the one you are currently in. Which house do you believe you would be sorted into?
For me, my entire childhood was spent thinking I was a Gryffindor, as I was loyal to my friends and showed courage at a young age. However, when I officially became of age to attend Hogwarts, I was sorted into Hufflepuff!
It took me a few years to get used to being a Hufflepuff, and as the years go on, I see more and more why the sorting hat chose this house for me. I possess many stereotypical Hufflepuff traits such as loving sweets and food, and adoring all sorts of plants and nature. Yet, I know I still have those courageous Gryffindor tenancies, as well!
What about you? If you weren't sorted into your current house, which one do you believe the sorting hat would put you in?

I am currently in Ravenclaw, but I think that if the Sorting Hat put me in some other house, it would be Gryffindor or Hufflepuff. I am a Pottermore Gryffindor, and I understand why. I think it's because I value chivalry, courage, and standing up for our loved ones. I could also be a Hufflepuff, actually, I used to be a Hufflepuff earlier. As my personality slowly changed from MBTI type INFJ to INTP-T, my Pottermore Sorting Hat quiz results also changed from Hufflepuff to Gryffindor. I can't really see myself in Slytherin because I tend to be straightforward in my dealings and like to tackle problems head on, rather than find sneaky ways of winning, and I am more hungry for love than power, but I also have a tad bit of ambitiousness in me.

This is a tough one to answer, because the Sorting Hat invariably places me into Ravenclaw, even though I'm a Slytherin on HOL. In the beginning, i didn't understand: I wanted to be like Hermione and automatically assumed i'd be in Gryffindor because I gravitate towards the light and not the dark, but as I came to understand what the Houses represented, i realized I'm the least Gryffindor of them all. I tend to value wisdom, creativity, independence, originality and being true to oneself above all, and I enjoy learning and gaining knowledge, and my personality most closely resembles Hermione and Luna with a touch of Madam Trelawney. But I also have a strong competitive and ambitious side, two of my favorite characters are Severus Snape and Regulus Black, and my closest friends tend to be Slytherins, so I see Slytherin as my secondary house.

I'll have to go with Ravenclaw, because I think I do have a lot of Ravenclaw qualities, for example, I like to solve riddles and other sorts of puzzles, I study a lot, etc.

I am most definitely a Raven but if the sorting hat were for instance to put me in another house then, if not Ravenclaw then I would definitely be a Hufflepuff. No doubt about it. I love food, coziness and adore nature. I am also hard working as Huffles are known to be.

Every test I take I'm a Ravenclaw but there is a test that has all the questions from Pottermore and gives you a percentage for each house.
Of course Ravenclaw with 80% but Gryffindor is second with 62%, third is Slytherin at 58%, and last is Hufflepuff at 54% from the screenshot I have of it. Though that is from October of 2018 so I'm going to retake it real quick and see what the new results will be almost 6 years later.
I did it again and the results show the same house order but the percentages are much different haha. Ravenclaw is 93%, Gryffindor is 90%, Slytherin is 76%, and Hufflepuff is 66%.
So long post short, Gryffindor!

This is definitely an interesting question.
Ever since I was introduced to the Harry Potter world, I've wondered which house I would be put in.
I feel that I'm a mix of Ravenclaw and Gryffindor. One of the most important qualities I value in a friend is loyalty and I ain't afraid at all to stand up for a friend either. But I am always top of the class in academics and I am a serious bookworm with an entire library (257 books to be exact) inside my home.
I guess I'll understand why I've been sorted into Gryffindor on HOL and Pottermore once I grow up as our personality and qualities change over time.
I hope to seeing you all around in the corridors!

Honestly, it was a toss up between Slytherin and Ravenclaw, and I think I would have fit well into either. Obviously, the Hat came down on the side of Slytherin, and I do think it’s the best fit for me. That being said, I have many Ravenclaw tendencies and probably would have felt right at home there, too.

Scarlet asked me this in Word Magic back in my second year (more precisely, which is your hybrid house)... and I still ask the question now that I've taken the class over from her!
I think what I said back then holds true: while everyone thinks Ravenclaw would be my second, I feel like my values are closer to Hufflepuff, and... that's where I think the Sorting Hat goes for!
"Slytherclaw with Slytherpuff values" though, definitely fits...

I think it would be Hufflepuff. I have always been a Ravenclaw through and through, but there is a bit of Hufflepuff ingrained in me, stemming from my love for nature, healing, and the gentle part of me that seeks to be genuine and help the ones who are genuinely in need. Ravenclaw still stands out as my dominant house, because I simply can't stop thinking. I absolutely enjoy anything that stimulates my brain.

Re: If the sorting hat sorted you into another house than your current one, what would it be?
That's a very interesting question since I keep getting different results on my Sorting quizzes. It's mostly a mix of Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, with Ravenclaw close behind. Slytherin rarely shows, I got it maybe once or twice from many, many done quizzes.
I guess that means I'd probably be sorted into Hufflepuff if I weren't a Gryffindor. I tend to agree with this assessment if I look only at the rough number of characteristics provided. However, there are traits from the other two houses in me as well.
