November Prompt-Winter Wonderland

Post by Emily Spencer »

Now that the weather is getting colder and the days shorter, it's the perfect time to snuggle down with a cup of hot cocoa and enjoy a good book or two. But even though you're toasty warm inside, it's hard to ignore the nippy frost beginning to sneak into the weather outside. So rather than forget it; let's pay homage to it (from the coziness of our rooms, of course).

The challenge this month is this:

There are plenty of books with "Winter" in the title. ( The Long Winter by Laura Ingalls Wilder comes to mind.). Your job is to design a new cover for the book of your choice celebrating winter in all its chilly glory. Alternately, take a book with "Summer" in the title and give it a chilly makeover. Enjoy!

Reimagined wintery book cover for Maeve Binchy's Firefly Summer. The cover shows a winter wonderland, with a snow-covered cottage, trees, and hills. There's a couple in the middle of what appears to be a frozen lake.
