A Dog's Way Home - Bobbie Pyron

Post by Louis Walles »

Title of the book: A dog's way home
Authors: Bobbie Pyron
Genres: Adventure, Fiction
A short summary of the story:

A girl called Abby has one best friend; a Shetland sheepdog called Tam. They understand each other very well and can't imagine being apart. But one day, a car accident separates Abby from her beloved dog. Tam left alone, tries to break out from the cage and go and search for his girl. The book describes his long and dangerous journey to find a way home.

Good points / bad points:

Although the topic of the book is not extremely creative (similar stories have been occurring ever since Lassie), I still found this book quite enjoyable. I think it was a good way to refresh the story of the Lassie and Pyron definitely gave the story his personal touch and twist. The story is extremely touchy and it will make you cry. I remember the story of Lassie from my childhood so I think it's great that my younger siblings have an ability to have their own 'Lassie' called Tam.
