Fave book: A tie between The Complete Works of Geoffrey Chaucer, Kelmscott Press edition (heavy book!), and The Poetic Edda. Oh wait - you meant HP books? Well, in that case it's still undecided in my mind whether it's book 3 or book 5. I'll have to reread book 5 and get back to you.

movie: Ghah...decisions. A Little Bit of Soul was hilarious. Also faves: Big Lebowski, Red Violin, Seven Samurai, O Brother, and Key Largo. And I have a soft spot for Kate Hepburn's flick Alice Adams even if my mother insists it was horrible.

TV show: Monarch of the Glen, Red Green, PBS' "House" Historical Reality TV series, Monster Garage. Take that, Nielsen Raters. I defy your demographics!

Radio Program: Prairie Home Companion, and The Humble Farmer (pronounced Fah'mah) on Maine Public Radio. He's like 80-something, and has this incredible playlist of ragtime, jazz, and swing music. Driving alone at night, listening to good tunes and downeast humor, it's such a beautiful time machine.

Music: Just discovered Heather Dale and her Arthurian Legends albums. Celtic Rock and Ancient Myth. If you like Loreena McKennit, you'll love Dale's work too. I also listen to the Fables, Asleep at the Wheel, Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys, Allison Krauss, Natalie McMaster, Battlefield Band, Hilary Hahn, Bach, Vivaldi, They Might Be Giants, Telemann, and Schooner Fare.

favorite song: Ashokan Farewell. Look up the words sometime, it will make you cry.

toon: Arthur, Seven Little Monsters, Angry Beavers, WB cartoons by Robt. McKimson or Clampett.

class: [fake brooklyn accent] I got class. I got lots of class. [/brooklyn] Not taking any currently, may begin my Reiki Master Class at some point in the next 8 months or so.

colour: Red. Not the craptastic red of this season's fashions... but the old, homey, barn red from like the mid 1800s. I want to paint a whole house in that color, and put up midnight blue- and-cream colored shutters with cutouts of stars and moons.

place to be: Anywhere there is a rocky coastline, salt spray, tall white pine, and the cry of gulls.

thing to do: I have a hundred hobbies...uh, I garden, I play fiddle, I go to U.S. Civil War Reenactments dressed as an Irish charwoman. I love costuming, and can sew fairly well. My best periods are Late Tudor, U.S. Civil War.

Fav. Book: I love many books; I read a lot. Isabel Allende's House of the Spirits is my most recommended book, an excellent story from an historical, and literary perspective, as well as simply being a good read.
Music: Everything except Rap and metal.
TV Shows: I like Keen Eddie, although it's new. Judging Amy is also wonderful.
Cartoons: When I was younger I loved Rainbow Brite, and though not technically a cartoon, Fraggle Rock.
