Remember that this option is worth 10 POINTS!

Watch the video from the website and answer the following:

I don’t know you but I always die out of frustration whenever Merryweather is about to give her gift and is interrupted by Maleficent. Due to that, Merryweather had to change her original gift to counterattack Maleficent’s curse. Haven’t you been curious about that last gift? Now it is your chance to speculate! Please answer:

What do you think Merryweather’s original gift for Princess Aurora was supposed to be?

There is no right or wrong answer, just please explain your reasoning and thoughts. At least 100 words for full marks. Please post your answer in the correct thread in our Class Forum.

I think Merryweather’s original gift for Princess Aurora would be in line with the first two gifts, as in a type of virtue that Aurora would possess. Judging from the setting at the time, and how they still had arranged marriages and stuff, they’d probably want her to have a quality that a husband would appreciate or that is appropriate for a woman, such as elegance or the ability to dance well (which is also in line with the gift of song).

Ideally, though, I hope the gift had been intelligence, because beauty and a good voice themselves aren’t enough for women these days anymore! And it would be nice to see Aurora grow up to not only be a beautiful princess but also a smart one.
