Sprigatito, one of the new starters, is my favourite! Before Pokemon Scarlet and Violet came out, my favourite was Eevee.

Ohh I have so many pokemon that I really love! When I first got into it in the early 00s, Pikachu was my all time favorite (and it still is a favorite but its been bumped down the list). I love the grass starters so I always grab that one when I start up a new game. But for my favorite pokemon here's my top 5 list:

As someone who would choose powers of transformation if I was able to pick, I’ve always been fond of Ditto (as well as Eevee for the many-varied evolution possibilities), but I have a soft spot for Jigglypuff’s “look how cute I am until I’m a furious gremlin at the drop of a hat” vibe since I was little.

Generally if I was putting together a team, I’d most likely wind up with predominantly Ghost, Fairy, & Psychic types on my squad (totally here for the trio of Ghastly/Haunter/Gengar, love me some weird Mr. Mime energy, and Espeon would be my preferred Eevolution, for example).

Though I love all of the Pokemon games dearly, I have a huge soft spot for generations 2 and 3, given I started on Crystal, and Hoenn was the first region I can remember being released. Due to this, I have two different lists of pokemon: pure nostalgia and actual favorites.

Oh, boy, that is a tough one. I wouldn't know how to begin to classify my list, so I went online and found an actual Pokemon preference sorter for this.

According to this sorter (and after a million comparisons between different Pokemon), here's my top 10 list:

1. Zoroark
2. Lycanroc
3. Decidueye
4. Dialga
5. Palkia
6. Zacian
7. Arcanine
8. Hydreigon
9. Salamance
10. Zygarde

I do have a strong preference for dragons and legendaries / pseudo-legendaries, or so it seems!

Only five. Fine let's see if I can narrow it down.

1. Abra line (specifically Kadabra as that was normally the farthest I could get that line until LA)
2. Cyndaquil line
3. H. Growlithe (weak, yes, but stupidly adorable too)
4. Yamper line
5. Fuecoco line (my heavy hitter in the most recent games)

HM: Wooper lines (both), Umbreon, and Mareep line

If you can't tell I tend to lean towards fire types. They are always my first starter of choice, and (outside of Kanto) tend to match up pretty favorably early on.

I have the most familiarity with Generation 1 Pokémon. My favourite one is Pikachu, followed by Charmander, Squirtle and Eevee and its evolutions. Others I really like are Dratini, Growlithe, Azurill, Togepi, Plusle and Minun.
