Well done, Eia, that is it exactly.

\o/

I apologize to those who do not have the extended edition ... I wasn't aware that that scene wasn't in the theatre release. Next time (if there is a next time), I'll make sure I have a quote from the regular movie.

I'm so remiss! I meant to post this last week (or maybe the week before ...) The Final Exam is posted and I have been going through all kinds of things in the Ravelry search, looking for something that I like, would want to (attempt to \o/ ) knit, and would actually use (or find a use for). I finall...

QUOTE "Don't go where I can't follow."
That is Samwise Gamgee ... speaking with what he thinks is no one because he thinks that Frodo is dead. :(

EDIT: WHERE?

there in the lair of Shelob

Ha ha! \o/ However, I really blew it ... I had the December one all ready to send in and ... missed being first to send it in because when I realized yesterday is today 18 hours and 5 minutes ago I knew I wouldn't be first to send it in so just said phooey to it. <_< I guess I'll go find it and send...

Ah ... I know!

One curious thing is how hobbits talk about age. Bilbo's age is most often mentioned as "eleventy-one" instead of "one hundred and eleven" - do you have any theories about this (just for fun)? I just figured it was a regional and/or 'people' thing of the Hobbits. So very few people actually attaine...

*poke* Bag End includes more than just the 'house' portion! It's the whole grounds, including the Party Tree. (Isn't it?) But still, yeah, I'm agreeing (without actually plopping the disc in the player OR going to 'google' it) with Ronja and Niniel in that it is Bilbo talking, like I said first. Som...

... YAY for getting Bag End right. So the 'hunch' that Hobbit is involved is good ...

Okay, let's switch Hobbits to ... Frodo.

Frodo saying that to Gandalf? (Before the journey?)

ARG!

For some reason, as soon as I read that, I thought it was Bilbo ... talking with either Gandalf or Frodo.

Refining it, I'm thinking it was Gandalf, there in BagEnd, in the beginning of the first movie.

So there's my guess. :)

If I post more than once, for this topic, do I earn more silmarils? :D First off, a simple and kind of obvious question: Have you read The Fellowship of the Ring before, or is this the first time for you? I have read The Fellowship of the Ring before. I read it after I read The Hobbit . Oddly enoug...

I just finished a project that involved the use of garter stitch, some purl stitch and decreasing -- all of which is covered in Professor Mott's lessons. :D (It also involved picking up stitches to start another part of the project but so far Professor Mott hadn't talked about that?) Yes, I knit a s...

I blame it on His PinkFluffyness (ie DalekSec aka Professor Pink Fluffy Slipper). Bug him if your Broom Race (Stage 1) scores are not posted yet. Okay, I got The Hunger Games Monday. I'd requested it from the library, but gee, there it was at the store, on sale! So I put it in the cart. Came h...

Discovery: I wonder how I might sort of accidently abscond with Cosmo's KNITTED TARDIS . *VIG* (very innocent grin) Discovery the Second: I have found out how to knit cables. I've also found out how to read pattern charts. The two discoveries go hand-in-hand as the first lesson for Wearables tells h...

YAY!

I love the books of the Lord of the Rings. I totally love the books.

The movies are good, sure, they are great. Especially Aragorn ... and oh MY GOLLY SHADOWFAX.

But the movies aren't exactly canon - even if they do follow the 'feel' of the books.

*nods* :) You're correct, Ravariel. That is the quote! Your turn! It's NOT a " Y ". Comparing the letters I notice something. Oddly enough, when I copy-pasted it, that letter came through as something that looks like a 'Y'. "Уnen i-Estel Edain." I guess I do not have that alphabet on my computer ......

QUOTE Cast aside The Ranger.
Become who you were born to be ... Elrond in a very non-book moment but works well in the movies, talking with Aragorn son of Arathorn, as the SWORD is passed on to the heir. In a tent. On the top of a hill. Which was reached (by Elrond) riding a horse and climbi...

I'm Tarma. Ages and ages ago, as an Ickle firstie or secondie, I introduced myself as mostly being a cross between Professor McGonagall and Professor Snape. ^_^ I'm glad that I am put onto the Hogwarts team, even though I'd probably be glad to be put on the Death Eater's team too (in fact I was thin...
