I just finished "Delirium". The next in the series is called "Pandemonium", but I'm not sure whether I want to continue; it reads an awful lot like "The Hunger Games", to the point that I kept finding parallels, which kept me from really getting lost in its world the way I usually enjoy. As I am not...

I recently finished the Hunger Games series. Now I'm looking for my next read. Of course, that doesn't count cereal boxes, shampoo bottles--I'll read anything with words that is put in front of me! Of course, the shampoo bottles rarely have much of a plot!

My son is a big gamer, and he's been being absorbed into the world of Skyrim since he got it on release day. I love the music, and it all looks beautiful, but I specifically wanted to share this: He reached a point where he had to pass a challenge to gain entrance into the College of Mages in Winter...

Hi, all! Hey, Pezzie, nice to meet you! I'm Astra, seventh year and proud of it! I tend to finish what I start, and when I enrolled in HoL, I knew I meant to attend for the whole seven years (and possibly beyond!) I'm in Ravenclaw, which is no surprise to anyone who knows me--I mean, I enrolle...

It says school books don't count--how about school books that you read just for fun, like someone else's schoolbook, or a schoolbook that you had from a prior class?

I am *such* a Hermione!

Ooooh, Amanda, I'm a huge Marx Brothers fan as well! You left out "Love Happy", which was their last film. It is definitely the least of their efforts, and is very saddening to watch in that regard. I've got them all, plus a number of books about the four, or three, depending at what point in their ...

Yeah, that Harry Potter series is a pretty good read! :D

Let's see, what have I read lately?

Water for Elephants
Sarah's Key
Let the Right One In (this one is gripping, but I warn you, it's really gory!)
The Summoning

With all the buzz in here and elsewhere about the movie, I'm surprised there haven't been comments since it came out.
So, who's seen it and what do you think?

I've played both of these. Munchkin is a lot of fun, but especially so if you mix the decks, and if you are playing with unabashed tricksters. Then it is fall-down funny, more so if you play with a couple of people who each think they are the biggest trickster (munchkin). Apples to Apples is fun if ...

Ok, first of all, I totally blame my sister. (*grins*Maybe I should send her some flowers!) My sister is an avid reader, as am I. Occasionally, she will recommend a book to me, and , by way of encouragement, she will tell me how far to read before I can make the decision to continue or stop. you kno...
