This will be super weird for some but my favourite smell is the smell of sunscreen, like the generic ones. It just triggers such a happy feeling in me, of summer and vacation and the sea and sand... Comforting.

Whether the setting is immediately introduced or gradually revealed depends on the book, if the story is more character driven then it makes sense to build them first. Young witches and wizards raced down the moving stairs while a few lagged behind, trying to walk carefully. At the sound of music coming faintly from somewhere below, they too rushed to see what was happening.
An uncomfortable silence fell as they regarded the dying torch, expressions solemn. “What do you suggest we do now,” one started, gesturing wildly, “mum is going to kill us”. “Not if we die here first, so I’d rather cross that bridge when we get to it” her brother supplied helpfully. (50 words)
