The Moment in a Fairy Tale When Someone is Cursed
The strange amber twilight I’d lived with was gone, and in its place was some terrible new brightness.

Re: Week 4: The Gathering - Showcase Your Skills

https://i.imgur.com/Ye1MEjT.jpg Though she had been trying hard to hide her prowess (especially since 'the incident'), Ky'lia was an excellent fighter who prided herself on her ability to melt into the shadows and pounce when the enemy least expected it. Today she was finally able to show her full ...

Re: Week 4: The Gathering - Reflection on the Code

Ky'lia respected the Jedi Code. She respected all that it stood for, and she even agreed with most of it. But its rigidity seemed almost an invitation to failure, especially for someone like herself. Ky'lia was not a bad person intrinsically, but she certainly could not take the moral high ground wi...

Re: Week 4: The Gathering - Face Your Fears

Ky'lia really did not know fear until she came to the Academy. By in large, she had been the mistress of her own fate and had learned early on to confront circumstances and situations with a level head. If you allowed yourself to show fear or even feel fear, you were doomed in the Drag. Scavengers f...

Re: Week 3: Mental Skills - Perspective

Ky'lia had trust issues, and that was putting it very mildly. Her previous life on Xubos had ill-prepared her to be part of a 'clan. For someone who had never known 'family' in the traditional sense of the word. Being thrust into Katarn, where she was expected to be a 'part in the whole' had not bee...

Re: Week 3: Mental Skills - Dilemmas

Ky'lia considers the questions carefully, a small smile playing at the edges of her lips. She is trying hard to embrace the Jedi Code, but putting others...anyone..in front of her own needs is something that does not come naturally to her. She doubts, however, that the Masters would consider that an...

Re: Quick Quotes

The poem's the thing
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

But you didn't so I'll tell you my plan instead B) First off, hire some chameleon ghouls to stand guard at the entry. These ghouls have th...

Re: Week 2: Your Lessons - History Lesson

Xerbos has a long and bloody history, and some stories are better left unspoken. However, one point of history that even children are familiar with is the infamous bombing of Smuggler's Run that took place in 17 ABY. And while the battle itself did not take place on Xerbos, the resulting repercussio...

Re: Week 2: Your Lessons - Challenges

Despite her young age, Ky'lia has known enough hardship to last her three lifetimes. Life on the west side of Xubos was a scratch-to-live existence and like many denizens of the Drag, she finds it hard to put her trust in anything or anyone. The hardest concept for her to master will be There is no ...

Re: Week 2: Your Lessons - Spaceship

Ky'lia is very proud of her ship, which she built from scraps and spare parts she found. It may not look pretty, but it gets the job done!

Re: Questions

For the spaceship, does it have to be drawn or can it be manipulated computer graphics? I ask because I have a 3D art program and would like to use some of those shapes pieced together to make my spaceship. If not allowed, I understand. Thanks.

Re: Week 1: Who are you - Describe your Home Planet

Ky'lia hails from the planet Xubos, a rather insignificant planet located in the Almanian Sector. It's most distinguishing feature is the fact that it is split dead center by an ugly patch of wasteland known as The Scar. How one would describe the planet largely depends on which side of The Scar you...
