Buk: Book As we were talking the other day, trying to get my pronunciation of at least some of the words to not sound entirely stupid, my new friend couldn't help noticing the bookcases that fill my room nearly to bursting point and she pointed to them and asked ”Reaʃe vuʃ?” of course I realised wha...

https://media.snl.no/media/129457/standard_compressed_gronn-trepyton_24932.jpg This is a green treepython and as the name suggests, it lives in trees which means that it can often be found hanging from a branch the way it's also seen in this picture. It grows to be up to two meters long and up to c...

Hello, I am Gail Allen of Ravenclaw House and I am late to the party. But I brought cookies and hot chocolate so I hope I shall be forgiven :) I was motivated to take this class because languages have always interested me so I was intrigued by the idea of learning another one here. I am mostly looki...

Re: Travel Necessities

I get that Sindor though to me any noise; even white noise, is really hard to sleep with. But then... I am an only child, so I think that makes sense. To me silence is the norm, and to you the norm was some level of background noise. I *can* also sleep without my pillow if I really have to - and act...

Re: Travel Necessities

I NEED my pillow. It has travelled with me no matter when I went, no matter how little room I've had. I went to New York; and packed my pillow in the suitcase which... to be honest, took up like 1/4 of my total space. I also brought it while backpacking through England, and I bring it on Role Play e...

Re: The Crown

I think since season 6 wouldn't bring it into the most recent territory anyway, it would be fine to let it go on to season 6. Probably not further though. It would start to get a little close to things that are still too recent and I would also completely understand if they chose to cut it before se...

Where January is almost always one of the busiest months, February is usually one of the slowest since we're all coming out of our end-of-term hibernation. But that makes these people's achievements all the more impressive! I present to you, this months top points winners: Award Winner: Hannah Loveg...

1. My favourite use for balloons is actually to create shapes. I make bowls out of strips of plaster and to hold the shape while the plaster sets it needs something to hold it up. And preferably something that will give once the bowl is finished so that I can allow the bowl to have a slightly narrow...

Re: What do you prefer: real or fake trees?

I am absolutely a real-tree kind of Ga(i)l. We've always had a real tree - and NEVER watered it. Our foot for the tree doesn't even have a place to hold water and it usually stands for about a month - it all depends on the kind of tree you get whether they need this or not. I find the fake ones also...

Re: Happy Birthday, Gail Allen!!!

Thank you so much! I had a really great day; I had lunch over video with my parents and then cake in the afternoon with my partner and a movie afterwards. It really was a lovely day and I am so glad to see all your wishes here.
Thank you!
