Re: Let your creative juices flow!

You only just made it home from the tombs and have not even begun to discover the extent to which sand has crept into your clothes and luggage (spoiler alert, it is everywhere. EVERYWHERE.). And yet, here is that all too familiar owl bringing you news of yet another successful application to an inte...

December – List, Actually

You are tidying up the shop floor a bit after a flurry of customers. After you finish rearranging a few products on the shelf that you are sure you only set to rights a few minutes ago, you rock back on your heels and take a look around for anything else out of place. You spy a scrap of paper on the...

December – Colors of the Season

You leave the writers’ room groaning softly at the jingle tunes repeating non-stop in your head. As you are about to sit down for a few minutes of peace, Leyfie grabs you by the elbow and drags you to a smaller room, where three people are pouring over six pages of the same product photo, but in dif...

December – Jingle All the Way

As you are putting up the poster for the promotion on the store’s window, Leyfie yells from behind the counter that the writers are looking for some help. You give a soft sigh, wondering all your internships will be this demanding and move to the top level of the store, where the writers are arguing...

December – Must End Soon

Gordon Leyfie is staring morosely at a stack of leaflets on the counter. The latest promotion has not brought in the extra foot fall it was intended to. It is all about having a unique angle, these days. Some particular service or deal that no other shop has that will reel people in so that they can...

Re: Favorite Characters in Fantastic Beasts

My favorite "characters" are actually the creatures. We were left with few descriptions of magical beasts in the book and the rest was left up to our imagination. It is awesome seeing some of them on the big screen and compare the differences between my own ideas and what they actually look like.

Re: A Goldfish Called Fluffy

I know a woman that named her three dogs Luna, Bella and Angie. I never made the connection, but once I jokingly asked her whether their names had anything to do with Harry Potter and she said yes! As for myself, it is not a pet, but my roomba is named Dobby. It sometimes gets stuck, usually o...

Underrated Character Moments

Throughout the book series and even in later stories, we have seen a lot of big character moments; James and Lily trying to save their son, Harry braving the Chamber of Secrets to save Ginny, Harry finding a piece of family in Sirius, the Battle of Hogwarts and many more. There is no need for a cata...

Re: Let your creative juices flow!

October came to an end and you just barely managed to drag yourself home. While it was quite hectic, you thought that you came from the internship at Whitcombe Wildlife Conservation with a new outlook on magical creatures and their habits. But at last, you are looking forward to calm weeks at home. ...

November – Take It for Granted

As you hand over the itemized list to Marrow, she thanks you with a contemplative gaze. You are a little nervous as your previous intern experience tells you, the looks means your job is far from over. Marrow compliments you on your work and asks you to help her write a new grant proposal for a proj...

November – My Precisoussses

You feel slightly bad for the next tomb raiders that will try and take the treasure away from the dig site. A young wizard stops you in your path towards Marrow and drags you by the arm to the western chamber where there is a pile of shiny treasure waiting to be catalogued. He asks you to help him d...

November – It’s a Trap!

Murmuring disapprovingly about your fingers, which are stained from the tracing charcoal, you feel yourself being grabbed by the shoulders. Squeaking in fright, the person turns you around and you find yourself face to face with no other than Stephanie Marrow. She looks a little manic with her eyes ...
