Bumping this thread because the replies always interest me - gives a proper insight into the lives of the people behind the keyboards. So.... my CTRL +V is....

Re: Time around the world (Tell us what time it is and what you’re doing at this very moment)
My time is HOL time so both are currently 8:22pm. I'm currently putting off doing the washing up and cooking some pasta for dinner (we had a very late lunch today). It's been a long day and feels like I should be in bed already!

Re: All About Lyrics
I recently had to choose the music that will be playing while I'm signing the marriage register and since the registrars insist on no religious content the lyrics are really important. One song that I've loved for years is by Fyfe Dangerfield called Livewire. It's a beautiful acoustic track played o...

Re: Whose Stone is it Anyway?
For me (as a UK dweller) philosopher doesn’t mean anything mystical . It is just as likely to say ‘Plato’ or ‘Aristotle’ to me as it is to you. As far as I know, it doesn’t have that magical connotation in our wider culture either. As a kid, philosopher was just a grown up word that sounded weighty...

.... but I'm mostly excited to see things from a puff POV! What do you think? Squib to Hufflepuff! Then you could see things from a puff POV all the time! ^_^ Oi! No stealing of Arianna's allowed! Don't listen to that naughty Badger, you stay nice and snug in the Dungeons... (Play sounds fun though)

Re: The Topic For Introductions!
Hi and welcome to HOL. You should still be able to join most classes and the professors will adjust the assignment due dates for you. I would recommend sending a message to the professors though so they know you want to join (many don't regularly check the sign ups at this point in the year). If you...

It's sad that I've done Ctrl+c on my own name since it's so short but in my defence it was bright green on the Slytherin forum and I couldn't be bothered to change the colours every time I needed to sign my name to say I'd done some editing for the SerpenTimes! Lazy Max!

Re: Favorite Musicals
Wow, how did I not come up with this thread?! I'm a little obsessed with Last Five Years at the moment. In fact I've got it on in the background right now instead of going to bed. It's too hard to choose a favourite as there are so many brilliant shows out there and so many I've not seen yet. I'll w...

BBC 500 words
I'm not sure if people in the UK are aware but BBC Radio 2 has launched its 500 words short story writing competition. It's open to 5-13 year olds from now until Feb 25th. Most of us are too old for this contest but I'm sure a lot of you have/know kids who might want to take part. All the info can b...

One of the best shows on TV started up again this week... The Great British Bake Off. What's not to love about cakes and biscuits and watching some of the elaborate designs that people come up with? Even better when things go a little bit wrong!

Re: What's the Latest Movie You've Watched?
The last film I watched was Indian Jones and the Temple of Doom because my other half decided to watch it on Sunday night. If I'd seen this thread before then I would have said Mr Holmes which I went to the cinema to see on Friday evening. It's the story of an elderly Sherlock Holmes (played by Sir ...
