Re: The Shannara Chronicles

My husband and I just watched this on Netflix. I have never read the books, but if they follow the trend of the books being better I may have to read them, because I LOVED the show. It was very well directed, and I felt that they reasonably covered issues other dystopian shows have failed at. Did y...

Re: Outlander

I've watched every single episode at least 3 times and I'm almost done with the fourth book. The first season followed the first book extremely well. I can only count on one hand the number of larger differences that I remember and I completely understand why they were done to make it work for telev...

Re: Presenting an Author - Diana Gabaldon

I saw previews for the TV show when it first came out and it looked like something I would really enjoy. Since then I have obsessively watched the TV show, watching each episode at least twice and sometimes upwards of six or seven times. I have tried to convince most all of RQT to watch the show.. >...

Re: Pokemon Go

I play Pokemon Go but I haven't really gotten into it. I am only level three, and so far it seems to me that all you really do is log on every once in a while and see if there is a Pokemon you can catch (more often than not there's not) plus you can hatch eggs? Also, I don't really understand the '...

Pokemon Go

I was just thinking how crazy it is that there isn't a topic about this considering how popular it is! I was working/teaching at a summer camp this summer and it was fantastic watching all the kids leave the dorm in the evenings to go on walks around campus to go to Pokestops and catch Pokemon. One ...

Re: Time around the world (Tell us what time it is and what you’re doing at this very moment)

Right now it's 6:29 pm for me (11:29 pm HOL time) and the students just left the camp for the weekend. There was a bird in the ceiling in one of the hallways and maintenance couldn't get it so the summer camp staff had to take it upon ourselves to get the bird out. After nearly an hour of attempting...

Re: Reality TV

I love The Amazing Race! I would love to go on it one day, but I suspect most of my family would be horrible partners so I'm not sure who I'd even want to run the race with.

I completely forgot about The Mole! I used to really enjoy watching that and try to figure it out myself. I miss that.

Reality TV

I just watched The Bachelorette with my mom last night. It's sometimes silly, but we enjoy our mother-daughter time on Monday nights as we watch the drama unfold. I love to dance so I just finished up watching Dancing with the Stars and was planning on watching the new season of So You Think Can Dan...

Spoilers of the season 6 finale:

What did everyone think about the finale? Who do you think died? I can't believe we have to wait months to find out! Also, I don't think I should, but I love Negan. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is fantastic.

The Shannara Chronicles

I've wanted to watch The Shannara Chronicles since I saw the previews for it. This new fantasy series on MTV seemed just up my alley. The show chronicles the journey of three young people who go on a quest to protect the Ellcrys, an ancient tree that locked up all the demons after the War of the Rac...

Movies for Valentine's Day

With this weekend being Valentine's Day I was wondering what everyone's favorite romantic movies were? Or maybe you prefer to watch non-romantic movies on Valentine's Day.. Share your thoughts!

Personally, The Notebook will always be a classic.

Re: Favorite Musicals

I love love love musicals! The past several years I've gone to NYC on so many trips to see musicals but I always have another one I want to see and have to go back for. My all time favorite musical is Wicked. I absolutely adore it and am pleased to say that even though I hadn't seen it in 10 years, ...

Re: The 100

I love love love The 100!!!! It's part of my weekly Thursday routine. I love the storyline of the show. Although, without going into detail and spoiling anything, the whole City of Light thing is just kinda meh. The end of season two brought about so many "what would I do" moments that really left m...

Re: Supergirl

I had very low expectations for this show and thought it would be terrible, but I've actually been pleasantly surprised! Comparing it to other superhero(ish) shows I watch/have watched - Arrow, The Flash, Gotham (and I may be forgetting another one >>), it probably ranks the lowest. There hasn't bee...

Re: HOL Life

How did you get along with your partner? Did you split the work or try to do the tasks together? My partner is absolutely the best. We discussed what sort of mayhem we could create at Hogwarts during each task but ultimately whichever one of us was least busy with our crazy lives that week did the ...

Halloween Movies

Halloween is this week! What are everyone's favorite Halloween films?

Personally, I'm not a big fan of horror films, so I think I'd have to go with Hocus Pocus as my favorite Halloween movie, followed by Halloweentown.

Re: Board games or video games

Board games definitely and Clue is also one of my favorites! Anything that requires some logic to figure stuff out is so much fun. I'm absolutely horrible at video games. I'm decent on some of my brother's Nintendo 64 games that I used to play with him all the time when we were younger, but I just c...

Re: Pitch Perfect

I LOVE Pitch Perfect! It never gets old, no matter ow many times I watch it. Like Mean Girls was the movie to watch all the time with friends during my high school years, Pitch Perfect has been the movie to watch with my college friends. I did enjoy the first one better than the second one though.. ...

Re: Azkaban Mass Breakout

Week 1 Navigation - I LOVED this task! I love this type of puzzle... I have an app with those on my phone and often play to help myself fall asleep. (Not because it's boring!!! It's actually really peaceful to do puzzles like this or Sudoku before sleeping.) And this is a puzzle I don't see often o...
