Re: Disney Discussion #4

I think that Dodger’s reaction wasn’t over the top. I don’t know all the things they did to “rescue” Oliver, but it seemed like a lot and it was risky too. To find out that Oliver wasn’t even grateful at all and just wanted to go back must have hurt. After all, he had given Oliver a family first, an...

Re: Disney Discussion #3

I haven’t watched this movie in a long time, so I can’t analyze based on Frollo’s behavior in the entire movie. But based on the lesson and what I can see on that clip, he doesn’t actually love Quasimodo in the way a father should. Maybe it was just guilt that drove him to raise Quasimodo as his own...

Final Fantasy XIV (MMORPG - PC/PS)

Sooo I hadn't seen this topic yet and was wondering how many HOLers play it. I got into this last year and have been addicted since. I also might or might not have found my future husband there  I am a Red Mage main but I used to be Bard. Currently I am trying to level all my jobs to 70. If any...

Re: Disney Discussion #2

I think Merryweather’s original gift for Princess Aurora would be in line with the first two gifts, as in a type of virtue that Aurora would possess. Judging from the setting at the time, and how they still had arranged marriages and stuff, they’d probably want her to have a quality that a husband w...

Re: Disney Discussion #1

I actually really like Zach’s choices for this question, and I would honestly be happy with the same choices. I have a job but we are in need of a better financial income, plus I have a lot of life changes coming up that would need money. So I think wishing for a job that I enjoy doing and pays well...

Re: Introductions

Hi! My name is Jenna Hathaway, and I'm a super old student. I graduated from HOL several years ago and only recently returned as a Post Graduate. I am taking classes again even though I have no need for points or quills simply because it was my favorite part of being in here in my seven years HOL ca...

It is in addition to your five classes, so no need to "reserve" a spot for your OWL class :)

Ordinary Wizarding Levels (O.W.L) is an exam taken by Fifth Years and above. You don't need to worry about that until your Fifth Year ;)

My name is Jenna and I'm a point-addict. Hello fellow team Hogwarts members! I'm Jenna Hathaway, and I'm currently a Ravenclaw Seventh Year student. I feel like I've said these introduction lines a million times >_> That's probably because I've taken tons of classes, and I've enjoyed every single on...

Hi Olivia, Unless the system changes this year, all fifth year students (and sixth and seventh who still haven't taken enough/all OWLs in their fifth year) will be manually added into the OWL class, so you don't have to worry about signing up for it. The class will be put in a website much like any ...

OWLs are actually graded much like homework/class assignments, with 30 points being your highest grade. Naturally if you get 30 points you will get an "Outstanding" overall grade for that OWL. The tests are also similar to that of any class assignment/homework, so you are presented with a lesson, an...

I've seen it, and I suppose it was a pretty good adaptation. They stayed true to the books despite minor additions and changes. As for the actors, I'm going to admit that Robert pulled it off. But Kristen lacked the emotion and passion that you just can't believe her character enough. Everyone else ...

I'm going to be another person who's quite disappointed in the cast as a whole. I still think Emily Browning would be a better Bella. Kristen looks too grown-up/mature/less accident-prone. Robert is slightly growing on me with his Edward role, though I still dream about Gaspard Ulliel sometimes. And...

I used these criterias when picking a class: 1) The subject. It has to be something that interests me, otherwise there's no point in taking it, right? Because this is an online fun school where no classes is mandatory, I think we all should take advantage of that. 2) The teacher. After experiencing ...

Countless I think. I can finish a novel in a few days if I have a lot of free time, and I shop for new books every few weeks. I can't have nothing new to read even for a day, so usually I buy new books before I run out of my current new ones. /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" bo...

Not many people probably will like it, but I consider The Corrs a really nice band with all beautiful songs. Sometimes when you buy a CD, only the first few songs are really famous and/or enjoyable, but with The Corrs, every single song is enjoyable. At least for me. They're quite unique, pop songs ...
